This coming weekend (bank Holiday weekend) is a Bye in AFL London.
Training goes ahead tonight (Thursday), and also both Tues and Thurs next week as per normal. However you can take the weekend off to do whatever you would like. We’ll be back at Bounds Green the following weekend for a HUGE game againg the Putney Magpies
The League has provided updated Competition Tables for Round 2. All still pretty close really, however the Lions are in solid shape in all grades.
The Lions returned to the Den at Bounds Green for the first time in 2013, and it was a cracker of a day spoilt only by some footy results that tipped the wrong way. With plenty of Lions unavailable across all 3 grades it was always going to be tough, however 3 close games meant there were plenty of positives for the coaches to take away. Grand Finals aren’t won in May, and so we’ll let the Demons pat themselves on the back this time around with a view to ambushing them later in the year when it really matters.

This weekend all 3 Lions teams are playing at home, as we take on the dirty Demons from Wandsworth in a huge Triple Header.
This is the first time the two clubs have faced off since the famous 1 point Lions victory in the 2012 Grand Final, and so there will be plenty on the line. The Lions have a win already this year, while the Demons are hunting their first victory. Expect fireworks and plenty of action in all 3 games!
