Clarence is speechless. Or was for a while, hence the slow update.
It all came crashing this Saturday just gone, as all 3 Lions teams were knocked out at the final hurdle. Needless to say, it’s a disappointing way to wrap up what has been a huge year. From that first Sunday training back in January when everyone got so boozed most didn't make it to work the next day, this year felt like it could be a big one. And it has been.
A grand final or two would have been a nice way to wrap it all up, but it wasn't to be this time 'round. On Read More

The regular season has come to an end, and Clarence is very happy to report that the Lions delivered on all fronts on the weekend. We won games, we won the boat race, we won raffles, and we survived the Disaster on the Routemaster (which is about as close to a win as you can get with something like that)
Special mention to the rain, which bucketed down in tropical proportions for most of the day. Players and the few spectators that were brave enough to turn out were at risk of drowning during the early games, however full credit to everyone Read More
Round 9 is behind us, and 3 big wins puts all 3 Lions teams safely into the finals action. With one week to go, that doesn’t mean we can all switch off, but it does take a little of the pressure off. 3 Lions teams made the trip down to the deepest, darkest reaches of Putney, where we were due to face the Magpies in all 3 grades.
As is the case in London, asking Lions to leave the safety of the tube and take a short bus ride to the footy is a nightmare waiting to happen, and so it was that we were spread far and wide across South West London on Saturday morning.
The phones were ringing hot, Google maps were working overtime, and somehow we actually managed to get everyone there at approximately the right time. Read on for details Read More
Last weekend saw the North London Lions notch up another two wins on the board with one close loss and keep the club's strong momentum going into the later parts of June.
This time around it was the Demons that came out to the Lions Den at Bounds Green, in a day that saw our 1sts and 2nds get up and 3rds unfortunately go down aftr a great effort in some of London's worst weather all footy season.
Here are the details for each game:
3rds - Lions 4. 6. 30 lost to Demons 10. 11. 71
